Felt Up

I'm still quite proud of the scarf I created for Glitter's Holiday Scarf Drive, which was crocheted of natural colored yarn with a deep-red, fuzzy applique heart on one end. I felt like a legit craftswoman, with my not-from-a-pattern product, the likes of which I hadn't seen anywhere before. So, I had to slam on the brakes and throw my TiVo into reverse last night as I nearly triple-arrowed right through a segment on Martha Stewart, wherein she was sewing--yes--appliques onto scarves.

Of course, Martha used felt on wool scarves rather than yarn on yarn scarves. And of course the finished products were super-cute. And of course I happen to love felt. And of course I am already hatching ideas for how I am going to start throwing little felt shapes onto everything now, including some of the more boring specimens in my own ever-growing scarf collection.
