What are you thankful for?

Yes, kids, it's that time of year again. No pumpkin pie for you unless you chime in when it's your turn at the table: What are you thankful for this year? For my part, I am grateful for:

My health and that of my family; my handsome, smart, creative, supportive and hilarious husband; treasured friends; a beautiful home; Henry, the best cat in the world; a freelance career that's finally taken me to the kinds of jobs I've always wanted (working editorial at two glossy magazines in San Francisco); and especially the promise of an unforgettable 2006, when Byrne and I are expecting our first baby in May.

So much to be thankful for I'm not sure where to start... I too am thankful for the promise of an unforgettable 2006 as I will marry my wonderful fiance in July. I'm thankful for a caring family who loves me, great friends, my awesome dog Valentine, who's actually a person stuck in a dog's body and for the blessed life I live.

And congrats again Arin, I couldn't be happier for you guys, yaye!! Baby time!

Who can guess what I am thankful for?

I am thankful for my wife, who I grow to love more and more everyday.

I am thankful for the family we are building.

I am thankful for the wonderful and supportive family I already have.

I am thankful for two new [twin] cousins, and another one right around the corner.

I am thankful that Cal won the Big Game for the fourth year in a row.

I am thankful that George Lucas is finally done making Star Wars movies (knock on wood).

I am thankful for a wife who is never afraid to dance with her goofy husband to Latin music he can't shake his hips to.

And, I am thankful for, yes, the BEST CAT IN THE WORLD.
